After waking up to find this, A call to race organiser Steve Adams was needed to confirm the race was going ahead?
A"yes" from Steve and with Suze at the helm of her 4x4 we were on our way!
Once there it was a quick set up of bike, munch on a clifbar and on with VOtwo kit and my Inov8 X-talons for a sure grip and it was time to rock and roll...
After running together with Hugo at the front for the first 5km, I took the lead going into T1..
once into the bike I put in an early attack and got some daylight between me & 2nd place.
By the end of the 20km the gap was up around 45seconds...
A solid second 5km run and .................
and I took my first Win of 2010!
So despite the snow and the long drive, it all turned out for the best. Steve Adams and the Go Beyond Ultra team put on a fantastic event on a great course, so well done and thank you to those guys! I took the win and had a tough battle for it, which is just what i needed after my disappointment at Tuffman a few weeks back. And finally all my new kit from VOtwo, Clifbar, Mucoff, Inov8 and Buff performed faultlessly, so all in all, a top day!
