Drop it - Dissolve it - Down it!

Thanks to Lambda Sports and ZYM "electrolyte drink", I'm going to be well hydrated and migraine free for 2009

I’ve been a big fan of electrolyte tablets since they first started appearing on the market a few years ago. To start with they aren’t as messy to use as tubs and mixes can be, they stay dry and intact in their tube making them great for travelling, plus are easy to share when you’re out riding in a group!

The main thing for me though is what's in them. The engineered balance of sodium, potassium and magnesium is what my body most craves during competition and training.
Six years ago, I was hospitalised during the Ironman event in Lanzarote due to extreme dehydration and a lack of natural body salts in my system!
Since then whenever my body's electrolyte levels have fallen, I have suffered severe Migraine attacks. To combat this and return to international competition, over the last few years I've had to use a large amount of my racing budget to cover the costs of buying electrolytes for both training and competition. With a full calender of races and 16 or more training sessions each week to complete, this cost had become high!!!!!

Thanks though go to the Chicago based company Zym, and their UK distributor Lambdasports, who have supplied me with a years quota of Zym electrolyte tablets and drinks bottles.

I will mainly be using ZYM Endurance formula, with its lovely light lemon/lime flavour, not only will it be effective in keeping the migraines at bay, but it's also designed to combat fatigue, muscle cramps and lactic acid build-up, therefore providing me with fresh legs, natural energy and higher endurance. During early morning workouts and when the going really gets tough, I shall be switching to the berry flavored ZYM Catapult formula (containing 100mg of caffeine) featuring the same electrolytes but with the energy boost too!
